I saw Toy Story 3 about 2 hours ago and, I admit, I cried at the end. I think I found it so upsetting because I can relate to the happenings in it. I have my toys stored in a basket and haven’t played with them in years. Soon, I’ll have to let them go and I really don’t want to do that. Growing up suddenly becomes something very difficult. It would be nice, for just a few hours, to go back to when I was younger and play with them one last time. Only, that would be too easy and I think even then, it would be difficult to let go. I really liked it when *spoiler alert* he was donating his toys to the girl and played with them once again. It was really sweet and touching. At that moment I was holding back the sobs haha =) .
So, it got me thinking. Sort of. I was thinking about it before, but now it’s really pushed me into talking about it. It’s kind of unrelated, but the emotion has surfaced an underlying gratitude I have which I would like to share.
I have finally come to appreciate just how much the internet does in terms of communication. All you lovely, gorgeous, wonderful people who are reading my blog now and those lovely, gorgeous, wonderful people who I have met in the past or know about now on the web, you and they are just fantastic. It’s so nice to learn about others, whether it be culture, background, current circumstance. You meet so many people on the internet. Those who are extremely talented. Those who are hard-working. Those who are police officers to those who are ballerinas. Some people are kind, some are more selfish. Some are happy, some are sad. Some come from Australia, some from London (England). They all make a part of you. A part that anyone and everyone should treasure as long as they live. Because I believe that one of the most important things in your life is your fellow humans, whether they be in your community or in a satellite. They are your brothers and sisters. They are you. I sometimes think that if everyone cared just as much for each other as they do for their family or themselves, some of the world’s problems and disasters would be averted.
Of course, I know it’s harder to do than just saying it. Although, making an effort, makes a step forward.
Your host, your friend, your fellow, yourself,
Soph.

Whoa, thank you!
I haven’t seen toy story 3 but i can relate. Sometimes I want to go back to the time where everything was so innocent, but then again I want to get going to the future. Anywhere but here.
Lucky that your school starts in about a week! I envy you.
I saw Toy Story 3 also! I cried, basically through the entire movie. It was a bit ridiculous. Actually when I was younger I always felt bad when I played with, you know, one Barbie more than the others and stuff 🙂
I totally know what you mean! People who aren’t on the internet just assume everyone on here is some creepy prev, but you really do meet and become friends with some interesting people!
Hello! Just stopping by to say your advertisement has been accepted and is now running at crittey.net for one month ending on September 29th. Thank you!
