It was recently that I awoke in the morning with a shocking thought in my head. IT’S APRIL! Since when has time become ‘the indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future regarded as a whole’? (Ta, google). Well, at least space hasn’t gone the way of the wicked! Wait, what, there’s
Back in 2011 – if you can remember way back then – I remember eating my christmas roast potato stash – as you do – dreaming about a revamped website for the new year – as you do. Now here we are, and I’ve only just changed the theme! Mind you, I’ll have you know that it took donkey’s years to get everything fixed into place, plus integrating wordpress partially into the site. Oh yes, I said partially, not fully, but partially. What a great bugger of a word: partially. I’ve been working behind the scenes on lines and lines of code to get this thing to look mildly organised. And don’t get me started on jquery!
I’ve been spending too much time at school. Honestly. You reach a border where working hard crosses from healthy to pure INSANITY, and not even the good kind. It’s exams, see. But this is where you sigh and say “We’ve heard it all before.”. Ditto there. I’ve heard it before too, but I’m going to have to shrug you off and tell you that for the next – say – 7 weeks or so, I will be scarce again until these darn things are over. Then who knows what will happen. I therefore also have to confess, that anyone who has sent me an email recently or is going to, then I will probably be extremely late in replying. Not just because I’m busy, but because when I get round to checking them, I will have to sort yours out from 300 spam emails which also bless my life with their presence.
Any dead links or not working links, I probably know about, but I can’t do anything without time. And I don’t have any of that. So all I can say is I will get round to it eventually, and the pages will slowly be restored or created in the long run. That said, I’m done talking website.
Let’s chuck in a photograph of a skateboard (credit to someone else) to liven the place up.
I’m getting quite fond of skateboarding these days. I go out with my friend, @ninjareno to learn now and again. We’re currently so amateur that we can’t even ollie, but I try to keep my hopes up that one day we’ll be able to and until then, we will continue to slide along the pavement like penguins at a – shall we say? – stable pace. I love how we don’t fit the stereotypes of skateboarders at all. No drugs. No hoodies. No shear strength in the face of adversity. Just goes to show; it’s not always the people you expect.
